The new line is the largest introduction ever, and includes prints ranging from OWP's classic hand colored images updated with the latest in trend setting colors, to black and white photography, to prints that range from the traditional, to transitional, to more contemporary styling. At Old World Prints, the creative process starts with a hand pulled black and white reproduction of an antique engraving. The print is then individually designed and hand colored using the same methods of applying color in the 16th to 19th century, before modern color lithography. Over 50 full time artists meticulously paint each piece using the finest European watercolor paints on heavy, cotton rag archival paper.
